Worthy Missions

The four cornerstones of Auxiliary activity are:

Member Service — Tasks performed in support of the other missions of the Auxiliary

Recreational Boating Safety — Activities conducted to improve the knowledge, skills and operating environment of the recreational boater

Coast Guard & State Support — Assisting the USCG and States in operational activities, both in traditional roles and in non-traditional administrative work.

Fellowship — An essential ingredient. The Coast Guard encourages a close relationship between Auxiliary members and Coast Guard personnel.

Members participate in a variety of activities including Courtesy Marine examinations of pleasure boats, surface patrols, navigational aid verification watch-standing at Coast Guard units, and air operations (transport flights for Coast Guard Personnel, Environmental and Marine Safety patrols, Search & Rescue).
