VESSEL SAFETY CHECKS (VSC)
A VSC is a free check of a vessel's equipment for compliance with federal, state and local safety requirements. During the check the vessel safety examiner helps to achieve voluntary compliance and heighten a boaters awareness of safety. It is not law enforcement inspection and no reporting to law enforcement is carried out. Upon successful completion of the VSC a decal showing compliance may be displayed.
